About Me

The Tales of Bubba&Mack is the story of one mom, trying to evolve from the person she is to the woman she wants to be.

Since you clicked on the link to come to this page, I will trust that you really do want to know something about me!  My name is Heather and I’m a work at home mom to Miss Mack, who is 6, and Bubba, a 3 year old who will get into everything and isn’t afraid to coat his body in anything he can get his hands on, whether it’s shampoo, diaper ointment or peanut butter.  Between the two of them, they make sure there is never a dull moment in our home!

Ever since my daughter was about 2, I have struggled with being an at-home mom.  I love working and I love being home with the kids, unfortunately, there are days when it feels like I want the opposite of what I have.  In some ways, I started blogging as a way to connect to other adults when I struggled the most. Now, it is something I truly love to do and I am thankful for the low points in my life that led me here.

This site is filled with the ramblings of my life.  I tried many times to fit myself into a neat little box, but every time I failed because I am not just one person living one theme in life.  Here, you will read about my newest addictions, couponing and blog design as well as the rants of a real Midwestern housewife, as opposed to those from Jersey, Atlanta, Beverly Hills or wherever else.  I do the laundry, cleaning, cooking and whatever else needs to be done on a daily basis, much of the time in sweats and a t-shirt because anything nicer would get ruined by a toddler covered in some sort of goo.

In addition to rambling endlessly in the middle of the night, I also do blog design and site management for others. Other than the fact that I can get much more done at night than I can during the day, meaning I no longer sleep, it’s been great to be doing something I love without having to go out of the home and have a traditional job!

Because of my refusal to accept any sort of labels, The Tales of Bubba and Mack will be a long-term evolution of life as we know it.  I hope you’ll come back and see what we’re up to!
